Longwood University, founded in 1839, is the 3rd oldest public university in Virginia. Known for its excellence in academics, beautiful campus, and innovative citizen leadership focus, Longwood was recently ranked #6 out of 132 regional universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report. A medium sized university located in the heart of Virginia, Longwood also have the largest percentage of classes taught by full-time faculty of all public universities in Virginia.
